Social Media Campaign
Social media is usually looked down upon in people's eyes, due to the entertainment industry and the unnecessary negativity that is displayed, but when you use it for good it can be a useful asset. It can be used for education, research, and advocacy, and that is exactly why I made my first twitter account for my Social Media Campaign. I got to share so much information and as well as learned from my peers. Seeing everyone's cause and their advocacy was very enlightening and that inspired me to continue advocating for my cause.

To the right are my favorite tweets from the quarter thus far!
I love this tweet because I got to share an opportunity that my peers could've joined to save sea turtle hatchlings!
This tweet is one of my favorites because it allowed me to share with my peers that this establishment is not good for our marine animals
For the two organizations I decided to go with the Wild Dolphin Project (@dolphinproject) and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation USA (@whalesorg). One of the reasons I chose these two would be because the Wild Dolphin Project demonstrates what is the right way to research and learn about these animals. It is non-invasive and doesn't require captivity. A positive human to dolphin interaction. On the other hand the WDC is to prevent and stop whale and dolphin captivity!

This is my best tweet regarding the WDC organization because it I was introducing it.
Although I love this organization it does not advocate about ocean pollution. I learned that I should've researched a little better.

I researched two problems this past week, one was about our ocean's being extremely polluted for us not being cautious. The other was about orcas and dolphins being in captivity. These two problems are both caused by humans, for one we are not taking care of our plant which causes our oceans to suffer. When it comes to captivity we only capture these beautiful animals to use as entertainment and get money.

I wanted to get on people's empathetic side about captivity and gave details on what orcas dorsal fin is bent.
This was my introducing tweet for ocean pollution.

Some solution I have found to help with the problems I researched would for one know how to throw our trash away correctly so that plastics don't end up in the diet's of our fellow marine animals. Another thing is dispose of electronics and batteries correctly for they can release chemicals into our oceans that can manipulate and harm our animals nervous systems and reproductive systems. For the captive problem we have to all come together and stop going to these marine parks. Once they see there is no money they have to return the animals back to their home.

A solution for ocean pollution, this is one of favorites since it was very specific on what we have to do.
Again, a solution for captivity, we have to come together and help out our animals.
