Welcome back to my blog everyone! So this week was a pretty eventful week for this course. For starters we began our social media campaign (SMC) on twitter. With the research I have done there are many issues regarding marine life and dolphins. For one it would have to be the pollution that is happening in their homes, so many marine life is affected by the amount of plastic that is drifting in our oceans and all the toxins that have entered the water. Another issue would have to be the dolphins that are in captivity, these animals are to be roaming free in the ocean with no restrictions of walls stopping them. There were solutions like to recycle and dispose of batteries and electronics so that they don’t release chemicals into the oceans that could harm them. For them being in captivity we have to be aware and boycott places that keep them captive. I would actually like to bring up both of these problems in my AP essay. The two best tweets on my campaign would have to be my infographic and the tweet where I talk about the problem on ocean pollution!

This is my infographic. Of course since it is about ocean pollution I wanted the color pallet to be blue toned. I wrote about some tips to prevent it!
We analyzed videos on advocacy for animals and I learned a lot from them. They each had their own way of making their points and different rhetorical tones. I will be using more of ethos in my essay and possibly adding a bit of pathos to get to the audience's more empathetic side, but we have learned that pathos is the least credible since there is not factual evidence. In the videos there were alot of great points made that could be quoted. I will definitely be using it in my AP essay!
I as well, peer reviewed two of my peer’s papers on connect. I reviewed Cesia’s and Jeannie’s LR draft. Cesia’s was well constructed and organized. I learned from her how to structure my essay more properly. As far as it comes to my peer Jeannies, I learned how to make my paper sound a bit more scholarly. She did a great job with the way she wrote. What feedback they gave me was that I learned that I have to make my essay’s sound more scholarly. Thank you for the knowledge!
